Clay Technology provides expert consultant services within several areas of numerical modelling. Since the 1980’s we have worked for Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB (SKB) carrying out important work relating to the design and safety analyses for the Swedish Nuclear Waste Repository. Today we also work for several other Waste Management Organisations around the globe with the design and safety analysis of their concepts of final isolation of nuclear waste.

The modelling is carried out using commercial software such as COMSOL Multiphysics and 3DEC.

The main focus of the modelling work is focussed on two areas:

Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical modelling of bentonite and swelling clays

Rock mechanics modelling
